NEW ZEALAND FOR A WHILE

Hi everybody! My name is Ana Merayo and I am from Madrid, Spain. The reason why I decided to write a motivational statement today, is to explain why I´m the right candidate for the Dream NEW scholarship. First of all because I think it is my moment. I have been dreaming about New Zealand for a long time, and this opportunity I recently found by chance, gave me wings to keep fighting for it. I am not sure if this feeling it´s related with my sensibility to mother nature or maybe if it is the result of something more i haven´t discovered yet but I need to visit this place in a strong way at least once in a lifetime. I don´t believe in luck, but i do believe in some kind of destiny when you find something you were looking for and you take advantadge of it. This is the way life changes, always in a correct direction at the correct moment due to the fact that everything happens for a reason as long as you act from the heart. I was waiting for Australia since the first year of the double grade I am studying and everyone knows it. Somebody asked us at the beginning, when I did´t know much about New Zealand. On one hand, I am so happy I can go on my last year. On the other hand, it is now or never. Being able to choose is a pleasure. Apart from that I have to say that I am very open-minded, charismatic, and a lover of new experiences and adventures. Also one of my favourite things in life is meeting people. How old I am? Almost 21!!! Moreover, English became a special language for me because I started learning it since I was little (almost 2 years old). In fact, my big brother is born in Boston. So I can´t wait to live surrounded by speakers who will help me to improve it onto the highest level. In terms of education, I early developed vocational skills in terms of teaching as a voluntary worker on the neighborhood, and in summer camps in the United States. My answer now and always to the most important question people tend to ask when you are still young is the next one: I want to be a teacher when i grow up. I usually remember that my wish is to be part of changing thins world into a better one, helping the new generations troughout education. My only hope is education and art. Art must be in every mind, must exist in every soul. Personally, I consider myself one of those who thinks that studying abroad is always a good idea. It definately changes your mind into a better one. As an ambitius student, I have to say that I can´t imagine a better option to make it happen than this one you are offering us. From my point of view, you are truly working hard to give posibilities of happinnes no matter where we come from and this is something more to be thankful for. Fortunately, my university has the agreement with Auckland University of Technology, so I can´t see any problems in case i finally win it acording to the admission. I have chosen the Bachelor of education, teaching. I think I'd make a great Kiwi Ambassador for New Zealand education. I represent, my identity, my country, my family, my friends, my culture and so on… To conclude, i would like to say that I´m so proud of just trying to apply here, even if I am surprisingly not the best one to get it. However, we should keep in mind that good decisions are never going to bring us bad vibes, things...turning it into bad choices. Pd: If only i could hug a koala, see a kangaroo, live or just be near a beach, practice some type of surf… Always with love, AMM.
